The Vets Track and Field Season has come to an end with excellent results for both the Men and Ladies Teams. The Men finished in 5th place and the ladies 2nd.

The final two matches of the season came hard on each other with the Basingstoke match on 25th June and the Aldershot match on 9th July.  Tired legs, injuries and other life commitments meant that the teams were a little light with many athletes multi eventing to ensure the events were covered.

The final League results saw WADAC men in 5th  and the Ladies losing out to a strong Southampton team to take 2nd.  Anyone interested in taking up pole vault as that is where the ladies lost a total on 36 points over the Season?!

Thank you to Franklyn Young who has managed the Mens team for the past two seasons.  Welcome to Steve Torrance who is stepping into Franklyns shoes.

Thank you to our stalwart Officials who have supported us this season, particularly Viktoria Lyne, Ewan Simmonds and Graham Bungay.  Without you we would not be able to compete in the League.

Good luck to the WADAC athletes travelling to Malaga in September for the World Masters.

See you all next Summer.  Karen
