The second CC6 cross country race at Manor Farm saw 11 intrepid Winchester runners compete in soggy conditions. Fixture clashes at Bournemouth and Chicago meant we were not at full strength but we saw some excellent results.
Well done to the intrepid band of 11 runners who competed at Manor Farm on Sunday 13th October for the second CC6 cross country race. Results are http://www.cc6.co.uk/ . Despite soggy conditions the rain held off until the finish. The women's team came a competitive 3rd and the men's team came 7th. The trio of women was led in my Karen Rushton 4th, with Emma Carter fresh from Bournemouth coming in 13th and Caroline Carr 16th.
The irrepressible Guy Brayn came in 3rd, Si Gillett our new go to guy 17th, Colin McManus 42nd, Saul Duck 66th, Stephen Lowy 70th, initial race leader (at least for the first 20 yards) Martyn West eventually came 78th, Andrew Robinson 88th< Pete Watts 136th and Keith Flack 160th. The next race is in the New Forest on the 24th November Dibden Inclosure.
