England Athletics issues guidelines
England Athletics has just released an updated statement on the Coronavirus situation.
As a result of the advice from the Government regarding avoiding non-essential contact with others, England Athletics advises that all face-to-face activities such as club training sessions, events and competitions, and face-to-face meetings should be suspended until at least the end of April.
This decision has been taken in the interests of athletes, runners, officials, coaches, volunteers, supporters and the wider athletics and running communities.
Where possible, athletes and runners at all levels are encouraged to maintain their own personal fitness and keep active during this time, while following government guidelines about safe distance and safe exercise environments.
Safe distancing is to be read as not spending more than 15 minutes and within 2 metres distance talking to those who are not your own family.
The club has therefore cancelled all training nights at the track until the end of April so please do not turn up for training and discuss the situation with your coach.
Please do follow regular updates regarding other announcements as to how we can all stay healthy during these times.
